Explore the vibrant city of Belgrade on this exclusive private tour, combining scenic drives, walking tours, and entry to some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Immerse yourself in the history, culture, and architecture of Serbia and the former Yugoslavia.
The tour begins at 10 a.m. from your accommodation. Start your journey with a drive along Kneza Miloša Street, a key artery of Belgrade lined with important government buildings, embassies, and historic sites. You’ll pass the former Army Headquarters, partially damaged during the NATO bombing in 1999, a poignant reminder of the city’s history.
Next, you will visit the Museum of Yugoslavia, home to over 75,000 artifacts documenting the fascinating story of Yugoslavia. The complex includes three main sections:
Museum May 25th, the first purpose-built museum in Belgrade, presented as a gift to Josip Broz Tito
House of Flowers, the final resting place of Tito and his wife Jovanka
Old Museum, showcasing the permanent exhibition of Yugoslav history
A short drive leads to the awe-inspiring Saint Sava Temple, the second-largest Orthodox church in Europe. Admire the stunning mosaics and explore its impressive crypt, which together create a truly unforgettable experience.
On the way to the city center, you’ll pass by landmarks such as Slavija Square, St. Mark’s Church, the National Assembly, and the Old and New Palaces.
Arriving at Republic Square, the heart of Belgrade, you’ll see the National Theater, National Museum, and the monument dedicated to Prince Mihailo Obrenovic, one of Serbia’s most revered rulers. From here, the walking part of the tour begins along Knez Mihailova Street, Belgrade’s bustling pedestrian boulevard filled with shops, cafes, and historic architecture. The street leads to the oldest traditional restaurant in Belgrade and culminates at the Kalemegdan Fortress, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers and the iconic Victor Monument, a symbol of the “White City.”
The tour runs Tuesday to Sunday at 10:00 AM, all year round.
